I hope you are well wherever you are. This is my first watercolour painting of a great spotted woodpecker. Painting the bird and the wood where it rested has been a pleasure. I have also painted red-bellied woodpecker (pictures coming soon in new post). I actually didn't know that there are few types of woodpecker until I do research when searching for photos as painting reference. I recent months I discovered a new passion that is painting wood or tree trunks.The trees and the woods are beautiful creations, don't you think so?
