Drought and encounter with otters
I'm now ready, all prepared. Why, they told me there will be "drought" in my area for two to three days, so I brought home five water buckets. Water disruption is a norm here. Cannot imagine how an otter can survive a drought.
Thank goodness there is no otter in my house if not I will pity the otter. The last time I saw otters was many years back when I lived next to a very long river. There was one day, I heard the sound or calls of an otter family, they were being carried by the water current.
When I heard their calls, I rushed to the window and glued to the window to see otters, yes, otters! There, it was an otter family being carried along by the very fast water current, but something heartbreaking followed after in just two minutes.
An otter kept crying alone at the river, probably next to one of the rocks there. It sounds like calling for its family. Its cry made me cry also. I immediately sensed that this otter was separated from its family because I only heard one otter crying.
I cannot remember how long it lasted. The memory of it is rather fainting also. But as I look back, I thought maybe there are many otters in the world have been separated from their family due to nature. Nature has its own way, its own story that sometimes we cannot control.
Perhaps Molly the otter is one lucky otter that happened to meet a kind man Billy Mail who cared for her. Hopefully all the otters in the world will have a good and healthy life and have kind humans that will look after them.
