Lakeside Harmony – Lake Como, Italy - Watercolour Painting

A sunlit lakeside village comes to life in this richly detailed watercolour painting of Lake Como, Italy. Terracotta-roofed houses rise in warm, ochre tones, tucked closely together among blooming gardens and leafy trees. The scene feels timeless—stone steps lead down to the lake’s edge, where still waters mirror the soft afternoon light. Vines spill gently over balconies, and quiet corners suggest lives lived slowly, with the rhythm of nature.

The lake itself is rendered in transparent layers of blue and jade, capturing the shifting light and the gentle movement of water. In the background, green mountains rise in soft gradients, their silhouettes fading into distant ridges of cooler blue. The sky above is clear and expansive, with subtle clouds drifting along the upper edge of the frame, balancing the composition with airy softness.

This painting invites the viewer into a moment of calm—where the beauty of architecture, landscape, and light are held in perfect balance. It captures the quiet luxury of lakeside living and the poetry of a place where water, land, and sky seem to speak to one another in colour.

Puffin with Sand Eels

"Puffin with Sand Eels" is a highly detailed watercolour painting capturing one of the most iconic moments in seabird life — the return of the puffin from the sea, bearing a beakful of shimmering sand eels. This scene symbolizes both devotion and endurance: the quiet bravery of nature providing for its own. Painted with delicate layers of watercolour and a deep reverence for wildlife, this artwork brings to life the textures of wet feathers, the glint of fresh catch, and the quiet strength behind this beautiful bird’s eyes. I painted this moment to honour the quiet strength of the puffin — its persistence, devotion, and dignity. To me, this bird is more than just a seabird; it’s a symbol of the unsung hero — the one who provides, protects, and perseveres.

Only 7 collectors will ever own this iconic watercolour of a puffin with sand eels. This artwork is part of an exclusive Limited Edition of 7 Fine Art Prints. Once all 7 prints are sold, no further reproductions will be made — no reprints, no open editions. The Print size is – 23″ × 28.1″. Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching Paper (310gsm, Matt, textured) using archival giclée inks for rich, lasting color and detail. A numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included, featuring a digitally printed copy of the artist’s original hand-signed signature.

A quiet village

A quiet village, watercolour painting.

The village is located at Pusing, Perak.

I had a lovely time with my eldest sister recently touring a quiet town in Pusing well as its surrounding neighborhood such as Batu Gajah and truly amazed by the beautiful landscape and natural surrounding there. There is so much beauty that nature offers us. It is God's gift to mankind. I enjoy the serenity and embrace the peace that  nature offers me freely. I am sure there are a lot of beautiful animals thriving in these lovely natural surroundings. Let us preserve them with a generous heart and gratitude.

The size of the painting is 40cm x 26.4cm

Squirrel in winter

Update: 17 July

Dear friends, I'm glad that my squirrel in winter watercolour painting is done.

Hello, I hope you are well. This is my latest squirrel watercolour painting. There are still some minor details and it's done.

I used to watch squirrels in my late father's house where they would jump from one tree to another, playing and hiding and searching for food. Squirrels are such beautiful animals.
